Neurodiversity-Affirming Counselling for Young People
Supporting ADHD, autism and other neurodivergent experiences.
I provide counselling for neurodivergent teenagers and young adults in Hartley Wintney, near Fleet, Hampshire and online.
I have a particular interest in supporting young people with ADHD and autism, as well as those exploring whether they may be neurodivergent.
Counselling can provide a space to explore anxiety, emotional overwhelm, low self-esteem, relationships identity, masking, feeling different, school or university pressures and the challenges that come with change.
You do not need to have a formal diagnosis to talk about difficulties you are experiencing.
My approach
I don’t see neurodiversity as something to be “fixed.”
Instead, counselling can provide an opportunity to understand yourself better, explore what you find difficult, recognise your strengths and find ways of managing challenges that work for you.
I use an integrative approach and adapt my way of working to the individual person.
For parents
If you are wondering whether counselling could help your teenager, you are welcome to arrange a free 15 minute introductory call. We can discuss what you’ve notice, what your young person is looking for and whether counselling with me may be appropriate.
